Tilt Auto Column For Sale
Let me start by saying Yes this WAS a van tilt. If you don’t read on you will miss out. I completely disassembled this column. I took the shaft to a machine shop where 3” was removed from the middle. Both ends were then turned on a lathe and center drilled and dowel pinned together. Then tig welded by a certified welder. I cleaned and greased all the bearings. All the outside parts were sandblasted and painted gloss black. I cleaned all the levers (some small bubbles in the chrome are still there). This column was out of an early van. The plug is the same (horseshoe). The safety neutral switch is in the correct location.I put on all the corect boots(column,Firewall and retainer) It is missing the pionter. You cannot tell this is not factory. I have pictures of the shaft before (next to a non tilt). After it was shortened and the completed column (as many as you would like). I can email them to you. I would like $150 + shipping. I will work with you to find the best cheapest way. Please do not PM. Post here so everyone will know who is first.

Either I missed by reading wrong or did not pick up on it. Is this column for an automatic column shift or is it for a floor shift with no column lever? I did see that you said there is no indicator but was it re-worked for a floor shift? If it is for a floor shift tilt I am VERY, VERY interested. Please let me know. Thanks, Ironhorse

tilt
Yeah, that looks like a great deal! I paid $300 bucks for one that looks identical to this, The only problem I have is my old column from a 68 truck was about a foot longer than the new one , Is there another peice that goes between the column and the steering box? Tony

If you still have the column, I want it. I will pay shipping cost and pay you quickly via money order or paypal. Email me at Tmaxson2@comcast.net to finalize the deal.
