Ebay Gear + Posi

Has anyone had experience with this package? I'm shopping around and this seems like a pretty good deal:

I would be worried about the quality of the ring and pinion. You don't want the rear end to howl after spending that kind of money.

I'm also interested, doesn't say where it's made so I think I'd try to find that out

Re: Ebay Gear + Posi

I've asked him about a kit for a 8.5" 10 bolt and he had Yukon (made in USA) gears and Timken bearings.

Nice guy--I have his number somewhere if you need it but he will answer your questions thru Ebay quickly.

Re: Ebay Gear + Posi

if you are planing on havin a shop setup the rearend you may be better off getting parts from them rather than bringing your own parts in to have them installed

Re: Ebay Gear + Posi

I just bought this same setup from the same guy, great stuff!
Eaton posi & 3.73

I just got finished re building my rearend with all the parts & it is running great!
I got about 100 miles on it so far,
When I ordered my setup I call him, and had him send me an extra pinion bearing and a solid pinion bearing spacer.

The bearing are great and the kit comes with a set of super shims.

Very pleased!

If you want ant pictures or more info please feel free to hit me up and I will post up anything I can to help

Re: Ebay Gear + Posi

If it's not a refurbed Eaton, and it comes with Timken bearings... thats a decent deal. I've used Standard Gear gearsets in the past and the whine/howl a little too much for my liking. Richmond all the way fro me as far as gearsets go.
