Clutch Pedal Bushings, Where to Buy?

I have been searching and really haven't found a thread that referred to where to buy the clutch pedal bushings. I have some slop in the pedal and want to replace these. This is for a '65 C10, if it matters.

Anyone know where to buy them from?

Thanks

Classicparts carries them, if these are what you are asking about:

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushings, Where to Buy?

These are for the brake pedal. They say in the info about a different part number for the clutch pedal but if you do a search for it on their site, it doesn't come up.

Has anyone actually bought the clutch ones from them?

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushings, Where to Buy?

there should be 2 used one for the clutch and one for the brake, at the bottom where the description is written they give you the p/n for the clutch pedal bushing 90-769 and for the brake 71-745

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushings, Where to Buy?

Yeah, that's what I am saying, they "list" the part number for the clutch but if you try to search that number, it doesn't come up so there is no way to order it online. Makes me wonder if they really have it.

Sure I can call them Monday but would have liked to order them online tonight.

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushings, Where to Buy?

I'm not aware of any difference between the clutch and the brake bushings. I've pulled a variety of them from 60-66 trucks and all looked identical to my untrained eye. I continue to use whichever ones were in the best condition. I'd be interested to know if there actually is any variance between the two.

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushings, Where to Buy?

What I have read is the clutch has a 3/4" shaft and the brake has a 1" shaft. This is why the clutch shaft can pass through the brake shaft.

same here with using the best ones, give the guys a call and see what they have to say about the part number, it was probably an oversite. They have been pretty good to work with in the past with my questions. The ones that I used were steering shaft bushings from John Deere riding mowers, perfect fit from what I rember... but that was also 14 years ago when I put the truck together

Confirmed - two different pairs of bushings, item 4 and item 10

Sorry for the confusion! I completley forgot about the inner bushings! Please keep us posted on the result for the part number if you wouldn't mind.

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushings, Where to Buy?

Mike,

I just got to this point and have been searching around for the 1/2" clutch pedal bushings. I just left a message for Dan's. Did you indeed find them there?

Yep, I got the ones I needed from there.

Sad part.... I might be switching over to an auto and not going to need them. Oh well, still a little ways away. LOL

Mike

I just spoke to the guys at Dan's, but they only showed a brake pedal bushing in their system. Do you have a part number for the clutch pedal bushing?

Thanks

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushings, Where to Buy?

Actually I just dug up my invoice. Here is what's listed.

382346 Clutch Pedal Bushing

383346 Brake Pedal Bushing

Just tried to look them up. The clutch one doesn't come up anymore. I recall the brake one used to list the clutch ones as a note in the description.

Guess I'm glad I got them when I did.

Re: Clutch Pedal Bushings, Where to Buy?

Just an update for anyone that might end up on this thread looking for a solution. The guys at Dan's informed me that these bushings were discontinued earlier this year. I ended up buying a couple of 3/4" ID bronze oil-impregnated flange bushing from Purvis bearing. They already fit the clutch rod nicely. I reduced the ID of the bearing till it would fit in the brake tube, but turn freely. I also thinned down the flange thickness. I don't expect that I will have to replace these.
