Thumbs up New guy from Oregon

Hey everybody,

My name is Cameron. My Dad and I have been going to car shows since I was old enough to walk. I am now 26 years old and have a 4 year old of my own. I want nothing more than to have a classic truck for us to enjoy together. He already told me he is going to be the "candy thrower" at the cruises.

I am now in the position to look for a truck for us. I am thinking anything in the 49-72 range so I have a lot of research to do. I can't believe how many beautiful trucks there are on this forum! I look forward to learning and being a sponge for information. Maybe even meet some of you Oregon members some day! I reside in Eugene, and travel to Bend a few times a year. Most recently for the Festival of Cars show.

Thanks,
Cameron

Welcome from Central Florida! Take your time and look at lots of trucks, the biggest mistake folks make with these is they get in a hurry and end up over their heads. Good luck. Lots of good people here willing to help.

Re: New guy from Oregon

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I plan to buy something that has been restored. I ride a desk at work so taking on a ground up restoration in my garage is above my pay grade, per say. It would take me FOREVER to finish. Plus I'm just in too big of a hurry to enjoy the ride. I want to be cruising a country road on a dry Fall day listening to Fats Domino on the radio. Can't wait.
