Will this same method work for a 1961 Chevy C10? There is no accessory position.

If I remember correctly the '61 has a separate start button does it not. If so, you would turn the key to the right to the "on" position then insert the straightened wire or paper clip to depress the retaining pin. Then turn the key farther to the right to remove the cylinder. This is the opposite direction from the '67-'72's. I would unhook the battery before doing this.

Lockdoc, thanks for the reply. There is no separate start button but as soon as my new ignition lock cylinder arrives, I will give your instructions a try.

If there is a start position in the switch then it would remove just like the '67-'72's....
