Missing Part

What goes right here? Or is this something one of the PO installed then took out?

Re: Missing Part

Seems to be a favorite place for people to drill holes. One of my trucks has a hole there that I will be welding shut and I think my other truck had one too that I did repair years ago. I've seen many in junkyards with this too.

As WIDESIDES72 said above, that hole pattern definitely looks like something was added and then removed by a p/o, but I wouldn't go as far as saying "Nothing there oem" as some trucks had the below pictured switch. Mel

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Missing Part

Check these out... I could never figure out what they were for! I ended up cutting out my entire dash and replacing it with an unmolested AC dash.

Maybe better ventilation! That's crazy right there.

Was this truck a 69, and were there any other extra holes found anywhere else specifically in the frame rail areas? You may kick yourself, but this may be the remaining missing one of three factory produced Vince Piggins Copo 9561/ZL1 all-aluminum 427 BBC motor factory lightened race trucks. Mel

Wow! Now you have my attention. Yes this truck is a 69 C20. Where specifically would there be extra holes in the frame rail? The VIN on this truck indicated it was a cab/chassis model.

I am intrigued. Tell me more about this Vince Piggins Copo. I never heard of this.

Very clever. That was good. I must admit you had me thinking there for a minute.
If nothing else, I learned a little about Vince Piggins and his Central Office Production Orders (COPO).
