Re-working a dropped front end

The previous owner of my truck dropped it by putting in shorter springs and new shocks. It looks good but the front suspension is only about 3-4 inches off the ground. It drags just a bit when pulling in my driveway and I've read some horror stories about people hitting things and messing their trucks up.

It appears that the PO didn't use drop spindles but it does have the disc brake conversion.

So, any recommendations on how I can bring up the front suspension and keep the look the truck has now?

My thinking is that I need to go with drop spindles and new longer springs/shocks to compensate for the drop spindles. Would that bring up the suspension by the 2 1/2 inches the drop spindles would lower the front end?

Also, how would i know what size springs to order without pulling them out? I have a feeling this might be a pain in the old rear end.

Is there a kit available? Any help would be appreciated!

Keeping the truck at the same height it is now will not change your ground clearance issue.
You will gain suspension "travel" by adding drop spindles with a taller front coil spring.
But if you want it to be the height it is now,... your front crossmember will be the same distance from the ground,... except now your lower a-arm will have more room to compress.

The only way to bring the crossmember up,... is to add a Dropmember, "Z" the frame, or section the original front crossmember.

Just when I thought I had that whole drop spindle thing figured out!

Hummmm... well the lower a-arms are the problem so the only way to bring them up is to bring the crossmember up? I'm off to search for "Dropmember".

I thought that was when someone got kicked off the forum. Anyway...
