McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
I have plenty of time before I decide to get my front disc brake kit. Been reading up on a lot of the companies selling them. Intially, I was going to go thru CCP, but reading the review on here has made me change my mind. Though, they seem to corrected there issues with the members that have had problems. I just want to put it together and it be done.
I been looking at McGaughy's Suspension products on and off for the last month, and looked at the price's and what is included in the kit thru GMCPauls. Great price on the disc brake kit that I am wanting. So, any of you guy's running there product's? Good or bad opinions? I haven't found anything negative about them yet. I know they have great costumer service, as I have emailed them a couple times asking questions.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
I have my stuff, but haven't installed it just yet. This is their 4 wheel big brake kit. It looks pretty awesome (I think) I couldn't be happier with it.
There have been reports of problems with the rear brake rotors not fitting over the rear axle (the axle diameter is larger than the hole in the rear rotors to center them up) I am going with Moser rear axles so I just had them professionally turned down a little to get them to fit. For me, it was only about 1/16 of an inch and they fit nicely now. I say do it! Summit carries their stuff too.

McGaugheys has good stuff, so does CPP. Just buy CPP products through another vendor rather than directly through them.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
That kit looks pretty good. I am just doing the front disc brake kit for now, planning on leaving it stock height and keeping it 6 lug. Rears will be later on, and I am just going to build those myself.
The one thing with this company I can't argue with is there 2003 Sema Award. It's a done deal when it comes time. Thanks.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
I have their 9" booster, disc brakes up front, spindles, springs, prop valve. Truck stops on a dime and rides like a new car. I also have their c-notch kit. Any specifics with my stuff just let me know.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
I will most likely buy the whole kit, although I have already acquired the MC, booster, proportioning valve, and brake lines from a member on here. To include the brake pedal assembly. These came of a running truck. So, I will keep the new ones around for spare part for future failures.
If I have any questions, I will keep you in mind weever82. Should go pretty smooth though, and I have pretty good mechanical skills... I do it for a living, now if I can get some body working skills down I will be set....lol

Yeah, I know GMCPauls is a vendor that carries the McGaughy's products. Haven't research any of the others to see if they are.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
CCP was my first choice, but then I read a bunch of review of people that haven't been very satisfied. Then I found McGaughy's, and found the kit GMCPaul's offers for cheaper and I only have to order the kit with out ordering anything additional. So, the price and having a kit that has everything I need is a plus in my books.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
Glad to here that. I am trying to decide if I want to lower mine or not. I originally just thought about leaving it stock spindle. I will decide before I order.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
If I did, it would be the 2 1/2" drop spindle and 2" drop spring for the rear. I personally am not a fan of dropped vehicles. Where I am from, you wouldn't get around very well. Plus, I like the raked look. Just a personal preference. The tires I am running has it setting lower as it is. Looks pretty good. Only reason I have the thought is to get tires tucked up closer to the fender wells. We will see.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
Lucky you being so close. I am pretty close to LMC, about an 1hr and half. Some of there prices are good, some are over what I want to pay.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
2 1/2-4 with McGaughy's.Rides great, went in easy enough and stops well. The kit only comes with what you need to change to disc.If you need Ball joints, bushings or any other replacement parts, they have to be bought seperately.Use Moog or TRW if you can.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
We have always had good luck with the McGaughy's products, and our customers have been very pleased. As mentioned above, the rear disc brake kit for the rear, you will have to machine down the center bore and the axle flange.

Re: McGaughy's Suspension Product's, Any one using them?
I like my rake so, I won't go past the 2 1/2 front and the 2" drop coil in the rear if I decide to do any drop at all.
Thanks for the info on the rear brakes, it will serve a purpose for others. I am building my own rear disc brakes when I get around to it, gotta save money where you can.
