can any one help me with these wires?
I have no idea what these connect to they lead to the front of my 69 can some one help me?

Doesn't appear to be factory wiring.... add-on trailer lights & brakes maybe. Can you trace them out and see where they come from? Try using a voltmeter or test light to see if they come hot with lights etc.

Those appear to be the wires that used to lead to your external voltage regulator. The voltage regulator would have been mounted on the driver side of the radiator core support. The wires are "jumped", or twisted togther because you are probably running a newer style internally regulated alternator and this is what needs to be done with the factory voltage regulator wiring to make it work.
Scratch what I just said. I see that these wires are in the rear of the truck, so my suggestion is out the window. Probably what the others have suggested. Last edited by cleszkie; 10-12-2012 at 05:37 PM. Reason: New info |

hey stoker the wire leads to the front but is hanging down and not plugged in so im not sure.

From the picture u posted I say trailer lights are they had some big a$$ backup lights mounted in the rear at some point. Back of truck and not hooked up. There not the voltage regulator for sure it doesn't run to the back of the truck.
Just get them out.

Well, now that the serious business is out of the way, and better minds have identified these as useless or semi-useless trailer wiring (otherwise known as "P.O. Wiring"), I had this info that some might find helpful:
