Bed cover question...
I just got another C10, it`s a `67 LWB pickup. It had a tonneau bed cover with the snaps on the outside and the bows that get placed from bed rail to bed rail.
Silly question but i figured id ask anyway, what are the chances of finding a cover that lines up with the snaps that are already on the truck??? There are 16 snaps on each bed side/corners, 9 on the tailgate. Any help would be appreciated, hopefully a brand name that someone has used.

Re: Bed cover question...
Maybe an upholstery shop will make one for you and put the snaps in the right place. It may be what was done when those were put on your truck.

Re: Bed cover question...
I have the same type of cover on my 71. I can see if there is a label or I can even take measurements if you want. Your truck looks amazing. Lets see some more pics.

Re: Bed cover question...
Being as it has four sets of the Taylor Made style bow brackets I'd say it was a custom. There are a couple of things that may help though. Does it have a grooved front rail across the bed or holes for it? Are there snap or twist studs across the front? Do the existing snap studs have a screw, pop rivet or an intergral screw holding them in? You are going to likely need a custom cover made to fit. Here is another post that has some good information in it including links for bows.

Re: Bed cover question...
The front of the bed also has snaps on it, the are held by small stainless phillips head screws. 11 snaps on the front rail.
Thanks Tim for the link!

Re: Bed cover question...
With screws across the front it is probably a very old installation. The earlier expensive twist posts were my preferred method in front until the rope rails became common. That is not to say it wasn't done later but the snaps and screws were the old way. The snap studs with the integral screw were more expensive but much safer to install without a screwdriver slip. Pop rivets were often used and while not cheaper they were faster. Good luck and I hope you can come up with a local source. Me I'd look for some upholsterer who's shop looks like a movie prop from fifty years ago. Also unless you really need a vinyl shine try and have it made from boat top or convertible top material for durability.

Re: Bed cover question...
According to a log that came with the truck it was painted in 1989, so I`d say it was installed around that time. I know a local shop that can make it, but i still need to source the support bars. Thanks for the help guys!
