LWB Stepside trucks
Just curious, does anybody know just how many long-stepside trucks were made from 67-72 (I'm kinda wondering about '69 myself.) The model is CE/CS10904 for '69.
As a bonus trivia question; which was the rarest model from 67-72? SWB fleet, SWB step, LWB fleet or LWB step? My truck began life as a longstep which I thought was ugly, but in browsing this site, I don't think I've ever run into a pic of another one. Now CPNE is the proud owner of the rear fenders, and the rest of the bed is crumbling in the vermont winters. After not seeing another one, I'm kinda wishing I'd stuck with it and had the style grow on me. ![]() |

Mine's a longstep (though it wasn't originally). Pics of his rejuvenated form will be posted about Thanksgiving. for now, here's a couple of his pre-tear down state:

He will eventually have the spare-tire cut out on the driver's side, but I'm keeping the white. I really like longsteps.

I got a 67 LWB stepside. It is was original paint, and has a 327 with 129000. I have been restoring it for the past 3 years now.
The cab is painted and back on the frame.I went to order some oak boards for the bed today.I forgot what it used to look like,it's been so long.If i ever learn to post some pictures,I ll put them up if I'm ever done.

I personally like stepsides better. I would say the rarest stepside model would be the C/30 with the Longhorn-sized step bed.
There is a guy 5 min from my house that has a '72 GMC C/1500 longstep, 250/3 on the tree, NO options other than ext color and upholstery color. It's a texas truck, rust free, a couple small dings, but he wants $2500! ![]()

Yeah, the one ton step side trucks look goofy with the 9 FOOT stepside.
Goofy can be good, but it would have to grow on you though. |

I'd heard that you could get the longhorn bed in a stepside as well, but have never seen one. Correct Longhorn Man, I think it'd have to grow on you. The good news is that I don't think you'd need to cut down the rear fender to have a spare tire

I have a perfect rust free lwb step box, if anybody needs one. Perfect steps and 67 fenders. The fenders are stashed. These are all #9s in my opinion.
Thanks Steve |

Might be interested in a LWB stepside box, too. WOuld be interested in knowing what you want for it.
There is a 1950 one ton stepside in Quechee, VT that is a beaut. Unfortunately, not for sale.

I will take $200.00 for box and steps. $350.00 for fenders (67's).
I will have to look at it again to look at quality. I did not get the tailgate with it. I wish it was a short. Let me know if i can help. Thanks Steve |

Longhorns were never stepsides...you are thinking of the one ton step side with the 9 foot bed...as pictured above.

Since we have all of you long step guys here. Does anyone have the spare tire mount bracketry off of a 3/4 to 1 ton? I have a short step that I put 3/4 axles on and I would like to be able to mount my spare again. I would be willing to purchase outright or trade for my 6 lug 1/2 ton setup. Thanks!

I don't have one, but, when it's time to sell your 6-lug one (if you don't trade it), let me know.
