I used a spot weld cutter to remove mine. Takes awhile, but makes putting on the new rocker a little easier.

Go easy at it! Restoring an old truck is like peeling a rotten onion, you just keep taking away the bad layers,until you get to the good stuff....drill the spot welds, and carefully pull back the bad stuff

where are the spot welds? and yeah i know i need to take my time for sure. i cant rush it.

If you grind the paint lightly, they will show up...if its all rusty, try a screw driver to pry it up,if it doesnt move, there is a spot weld there
