it has a sproket the same diameter as the rim, the other side is the side that has it and a chain, the pics ive seen of it still doesnt show how it really is stable on there, i have no idea really, but it looks awesome

Looks cool, but it is a good thing he only has to drive it on and off the trailer...lol. With a spocket that big I bet it redlines at 60 MPH.

Totally different, but I still like having a wheel with design in the center.

The concept of the rear wheel is very simple. I have designed a wheel for the front that is something like that, but is made to mount onto any bike.

Tom, when I watched the chopper build-off's, Billy drove his stuff cross country..... not that particular set-up, but the others he built for the competitions.
I would think he would putt around his area w/o any probs considering he jumped on unproven bikes & took 'em 'cross country. He gets my vote for his details/concepts.

billy lane builds some wicked bikes, the thing i like is that he is more old school than jesse james, he uses parts and pieces off other bikes to build his, granted they both have alot of fabrication, but i still like the idea of taking old parts from different things and combining them to make sumthin new, kinda reminds me of my 68 rod-resto lol

How about this one? It's along the same lines as far as eliminating the centered hub concept...
