Ok 4x4 guys

Ok my 82. Use to be a diesel but now gas. Guessing the engine tranny both changed but unsure. It goes into 4x4 but when you try to take it out, it grinds. A guy that was going to buy the truck said it was just a ink age problem. What else. It goes in 4x4 but grinds taking it out. It's. TH400 tranny,, but not real are what the transfer case is

Re: Ok 4x4 guys

Is it lifted at all or stock? It kinda sounds like the linkage is binding up to me. Are u moving at all when putting it in 4x4 or just sitting still?

Re: Ok 4x4 guys

This could also be caused by different gear ratios in the front and rear diffs
