Wanna see a 5,000 lbs. 4x4 blazer whoop a 5th gen SS?

He came on strong at the big end and was running me down, but wasn't enough to overcome my better light and 60 foot.

I got a good chuckle out of this, and got quite a few coming over to look at the blazer after this run

What's the scenario? What motor and trans are you running and was that a V8 Camaro?

Re: Wanna see a 5,000 lbs. 4x4 blazer whoop a 5th gen SS?

It's an SS camaro, so yes it's a V8. I'm not sure if it was a stick or auto though. I'm guessing a stick because the guy was having a hard time putting a good run together here. Lazy at the light and his 60 foot was horrible. Not that my 60 foot is steller, but I think when I took off it surprised him and he got more anxious. The blazer is a little deceiving. Technically he should have smoked me That's racin' though. First one to the line wins

I'm running a 6.0/4L60E swap with 3.73's and 33" tires. Needs more gear though for any serious 1/4 mile work, if you listen I just shifted to 3rd right at the finish line.

Even my 13 year old son was laughing saying the truck just beat a sports car

Priceless.

Since we're all GMC/Chevy fans here, please beat a Mustang next time!

Awesome! I agree about being the first to the line. Fastest car doesn't always win.

Congrats and it sounds like you have a very sweet Blazer.

I have a mustang hiding here in the garage too,,,shhhhh.

It was club track day so there was a large Fbody group there (I happen to be in one of the Fbody clubs there) also a large vette group and some mustangs. I just felt like leaving the Fbodies at home and running the blazer for giggles.

Nice kill!

Here's my C/10 running down a Viper. He got me this run, but I got him on another pass. Takes a minute to light the turbo with the huge hotside.

Same basic drivetrain that's going into my Blazer.

Hopefully it's still there by then. I have issues with anything staying up on photobucket for too long. So far so good.
