Hi guys ! Everybody want to collect the maximum infos about his engine ,
Me too :new The ex owner said it was a 454 in this '70 c10 and i felt the torque when I tried before buying , oh yes !  This is the numbers i've managed to collect : front pads : TI1I7CGV Block casting : 3963512 GM8 Nasty Z28 , said it's a 427 or a 454 . But i'm in trouble with the casting year . GM8 means 1968 ? "CGV" means it originally came in a 1970 Full size Chevrolet and is a 454, 345hp with a Manual transmission
Casting number #3963512 means it is a '69-'71 427 or 454, 2 or 4-Bolt main I am not sure what the GM8 means The casting year should be on the opposite side of the block from the casting number |

You're right Livrat , GM8 is in the opposite of the casting #
