Re: '70 c10 lq4

Looking good, man! I just picked up my shorties from the coaters yesterday. Looks like we're both in ceramic coated header bliss.

Thanks! The coil packs are one of the things I don't like about these motors (that and the stock intake cover )-- I really want to smooth the engine out some. I was looking at the Holley plastic covers, but for the same money, I like the cast aluminum. I don't particularly care for the Edelbrock script, but that's easily remedied...

Um, well, ya see, I, uh... Yeah, I don't really have a good excuse, other than they're just so pretty. I originally wanted to install it 'stock' and upgrade over time, but I figured since I have to rebuild anyway, and I got the heads and cam (oh, did I mention I picked up an XR273HR Comp grind?!), that it could use the headers, too. Look for some other things to change along the way, as well...

I said I was gonna try to keep this one in check, but I just can't help myself sometimes

That being said, I'll have a nice set of TBSS manifolds for sale, if anyone is looking...

Thanks, all! Can't wait to get this thing built and installed- currently on a minor hiatus due to beefing up the suspension/braking in preparation for the newfound horsepower

Still working the suspension/braking mods--check my build thread (in sig) for updates there and for when more engine progress should be expected. Thanks for looking in and keeping me honest

Re: '70 c10 lq4

Not to pester you, but I'm to the point of ordering headers for my LQ4 swap in my '72. Going to be using the POL stands (in 6cyl holes) and trans crossmember. The Kooks are too spendy for me and I don't care for the fit of the F-body stuff. Hoping you have had a chance to try the Pacesetter TBSS headers out. BTW very cool truck to begin with!

Thanks for the compliment. No, I have not yet fitted them, sorry. This little project has stalled for a while
