custom c10 no bed?

so i am rebuilding my 67 swb and i dumped the bed because i didnt want it kind of regret it now, but the reason is because i wanted to do a custom open frame on the back. so i wanted to know if any one have any pics of a c10 with no be and some cusom mods on the rear, i already know what i want to and going to do,just want to see if people think of stuff to do that is not a flat bed. i really want to say what i want to do to it but at the same time i have never seen it done and dont really want to put it out there just becasue of that i hope it doesnt make any one angry , but i have this whole truck in my head that i have been trying to build on my spare/ free time in the garage for the last 4 years, it is a very very slow thing that i am doing now.

Re: custom c10 no bed?

I really like the welder bodies guys fabricate. Basically,a flat bed with sides built only below it,and usually with compartment doors. Like a utility body but only below the deck. The rear wheels are "housed" and everything sits down low. I've never seen a short bed but might be a cool theme...a mini-welder rig.

I had a C/30 I wanted to run a 5th wheel, saddle tanks and small flat deck w/ headache rack...or 5th wheel and contractor box (looks like a sleeper, but has tool compartments w/doors). Then have an assortment of 5th wheel trailers for various uses:Flatbed for vehicle hauling, enclosed like a beverage truck for whatever, dump trailer...whatever.
I know you probably have something else in mind, but those have been thoughts I've had...and never seen anyone do.

Re: custom c10 no bed?

i was thinking a little bit diffrent then that i am aiming for a motorcycle rack on the back that comes on and off at shows so they both can be there, i want it to be a daily driver so thwere for the rack will come off of it when not needed. i would really like to find some one that can draw so i can talk to them and get a renering done of it so i have a picture to put with it.
