Courtesy Light Bulb Question?
Has anyone come across a brighter bulb for the courtesy light? If so, do you have a part number? Thanks

I second that - I'd love a brighter interior light BUT my only fear is brighter=more heat & that may melt the lens.

68 suburban.... if you are referring to the dome lamp ( center cab; on cab inside roof above the seat back) the original lamp was a # 211. This lamp was a T-3 bulb ( looks like an oversized fuse).amps is .97 ; 12 C.P. Looking thru my Philips lighting specs; I find that a # 577; 1.4 amps; 21C.P is available.....This lamp should give almost double the light output at an increase of .43 amps....I would take the stock # 211 lamp with you to compare to the # 577 to be sure the diameter of the lamp will fit the socket clips........Jim
