Chief, I tried a 1/8 pipe plug on my '66--it tried to start for a couple of threads but wouldn't "fit"--but I did not force it in an attempt to "make" it work anyway! Had to use a hard-to-find (at Advance A/p) plug that did fit. We happened upon ONE on their shelf, out of any package, with no way to determine its part#, that fit perfectly. Substantially diff. from 1/8 pipe plug.
