4BD1T Isuzu

I have been tossing around the idea of a 4BD Isuzu in my '72 K20. I am having trouble locating one though. What makes/models are the 4BD1T Isuzu's found in?

Re: 4BD1T Isuzu

Get a Frito Lays delivery truck..., those have the 4 cyl cummins, maybe not what you're asking... or is that the 4cbt? I don't know... if you go do search the pirate4x4 bulletin board, there is a thread on the land cruiser forum about putting a 4 cyl in his fj55

Re: 4BD1T Isuzu

The 4BD was used in industrial and marine applications as well as the NPR light truck line.
As mentioned above, the 4BTcummins is a good choice, although getting difficult to find at decent price. 4 cyl version of the 5.9 Cummins powered Dodge.

Isuzu NPR 1988? - 1991? the later 4BD2t is also an option. these engines are very similar to the cummins 4BT in size, HP and torque. go to the 4btswaps website. great bunch of guys there. i'm going to do the same swap...eventually...
