I didn't do this today...but....

All I *did do* was almost finish emptying the bed of the truck into the regular trash...it was the load from cleaning out the shop that *I was* GOING to take to the dump.
Which means that four or five gallons of gas I was going to use for the dump run now gets to be used for tooling around...Waaay more fun.

...what I wanted to ask is how do you builders (any block I guess, but especially on a small block V-8) know what cam/lifters and valve set-ups go with which piston and
head combo? Is it some sort of performance/tolerance magic? Bet I'm not the only guy who'd like to know.
