'67 Cargo Light?

Did any of the '67 small windows ever come with a cargo light? I wonder if it would look weird up there so far from the window...

Re: '67 Cargo Light?

I think the cargo light came out in 69, but not positive. There is a 67 4x4 in the junkyard here that does have one, it kind of looks out of place with a small window.

Re: '67 Cargo Light?

69 was in fact the first year for the optional cargo light. It may not have showed up till mid 69, but I am not 100% sure on that. I do know the early CST trucks didn't get it while the later ones did. However, it was listed in the package from the begining of 69.

Re: '67 Cargo Light?

I kind of want one, mainly for the 3rd brake light but I'm afraid it would look goofy. Maybe I'll make one out of cardboard and tape it up there to see how it looks

Re: '67 Cargo Light?

i have one on my 67 small window and it is just not for my taste. i was attempting to remove the housing but one of the screws that holds the housing to the cab will not unscrew. is there access from the interior dome light or is the cargo light a seperate mounting? can anyone tell me how this is mounted as i hate to tear something up trying to remove?

Re: '67 Cargo Light?

Anybody else want to weigh in on this? My 67 has one on it, I haven't gotten to taking it off yet to see if it was suppose to be there. Kind of looks like a factory piece, although not very attractive. Deciding whether to keep it or not.

This should be correct.

What's great about your situation is you can use any style brake light you want and put it where ever you want. That's the thing I love about custom stuff! Good luck.
