Anybody remember a Chevy dealer in South Pasadeana CA.
I found my build sheet or what's left of it and it says my truck was originally sold at a dealer on Fair Oaks Blvd. in South Pasadena, Ca. I cant find anything on a dealer there anybody remember?
My build sheet..... LOL!! at least it's something I was never very good at jigsaw puzzles though.

LOL well if it was Felix I sure wouldn't have any trouble locating license frames! I dont think it was Team Chevrolet, or Jack Wall because they are both in Pasadena and the zip is different unless they moved which is possible.

Yes, I remember now... cant remember the name, but they were on Fair Oaks just south of the freeway. That would be north of the Rialto theatre. I lived just off Fair Oaks on Marengo Ave... but that was back in the 60's
I only remember the Chev dealer because they sponsored the soap box derby.lol |

Re: Anybody remember a Chevy dealer in South Pasadeana CA.
I just happened to drive down Fair Oakes last night. Long gone now but there was a Chevy dealer there. I remember a lot of the old Chevy dealers around Los Angeles. Felix, Sopp, Martin, and Cormier are still around. Some of the defunct ones were Harry Mann, Owen Keown, Dial, Millikin (became Bunnin), Bliss and Paden, Schonlaw, A.E. Nugent, and Terry York.

Re: Anybody remember a Chevy dealer in South Pasadeana CA.
I'm not sure of how I came across this post, but if you are still interested, I believe the name of the dealership was "Colliau Chevrolet." They were on South Fair Oaks in South Pasadena.
I worked on South Fair Oaks just north of the powerplant at Fair Oaks and Glenarm during the summers from 1973 to 1977 and the dealership was in business at that time. I don't know how long after that they closed. |

Re: Anybody remember a Chevy dealer in South Pasadeana CA.
Ted spent 12-16 hours a day between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. That's how many of the area residents knew Ted, but he also owned "Colliau Chevrolet" from 1945 to 1986.

I remember Colliau Chevrolet,It was my first job after a 2 year automotive program at Citrus Community College.I started as a "squeek and rattle man".A year later I became the automatic transmission mechanic.I worked there from July of 73 till may of 79.I remember the service manager was Charlie Snyder, service writer Rudy Struman. To bad that beautiful old brick dealership is gone.http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/i...cons/icon9.gif

Re: Anybody remember a Chevy dealer in South Pasadeana CA.
I lived in South Pas in early 80s and drove to work in Pasadena up Fair Oaks every day. As I read thru the early posts I too was unable to recall the name of the dealership so thank god someone knew what it was.
