Exhaust manifold gasket

I am sorry if this is a repeat, but I cannot find where I posted this earlier.

I am needing to change out the exhaust manifold on my '65 with a 230. Looking at it today, I cannot tell if I am going to need to remove the intake manifold as well or not. They are sort of intertwined together it seems. And if I do need to loosen the intake as well, does it need to be removed (along with everything attached to it) or can I just loosen it to fit the new exhaust gasket in. Thanks for any helpful info.

Re: Exhaust manifold gasket

Intake and exhaust are bolted togethor just below the carb. You'll need to remove it as a unit, then seperate them.
