Anyone have Classic Insurance?
I have been shopping around and am having trouble. Hagerty wouldn't insure my Big Blazer because it's my daily driver and it's lifted. Another company wouldn't insure my dad's Blazer because it is an SUV. Any tips on companies out there?

Try Grundy
I got screwed by the insurance company when my 71 got tagged. They said my truck wasn't worth anything.

I have JC Taylor, but my truck isn't a daily driver. Coverage was cheap.

SAFECO
I have full coverage, zero deductible, actual replacement, unlimited mileage insurance thru SAFECO. Under $200 per year as my second car. Does not prevent me from using it daily.

I have been thinking about classic insurance....does anyone know of any good policies for a 19-year old male w/o any points on his driving record, with a '72 C10 worth about $4k, thats gets driven about 5-10k miles a year? I dunno if there are any polices out there that would fit my style of driving...especially since i am young and unmarried. But saving money and getting full coverage on the truck would be nice

Have you ever tried to make a claim with them? I am wondering how they do it so cheap, and don't require limited mileage....
N2TRUX - I haven't had a ticket or been in an accident in decades. That has something to do with it. Like SMOKEKIKI said, it has to stay in a locked garage when not in use and they looked it over before they allowed the special coverage. Over $25K in receipts (couldn't sell it for that - LOL). scott

I have classic show insurance, its only for weekend get togethers and shows, I pay $26 every six months. Its so cheap b/c most people who have spent years and thousands of $$$ on they rides are very careful when they drive it, and insurance rates are based on claims for each particular class of insurance. so go figure....

I tried to get some for my 74 but...... I don't have a garage to keep it since my 67 is disassembled so I can't get any.
The only company that would give me a quote was Progressive. They wanted $167 per month for full coverage (@ 10K/value) & I have no accidents/tickets. Insurance sucks. Hell, my current co. wants to charge me double the price for me to insure both trucks w/state required liability.... Now, I would be ok w/that if someone else was covered while driving one of the trucks, BUT.... no-one else can drive them according to the policy except for me & last I checked I could only drive 1 @ a time. I could understand if it was full coverage & it was covered against collision/theft just sitting @ the house but it in fact doesn't cover anything more than me when driving. So, for now I just switch the trucks back & forth on the policy when I need to. It's a pain.... but it saves me from just handing them $500 a year for nothing.

scum of the earth
insurance is a government backed scam. I understand the need, but not the method.

So you have to have a garage for most polices? They are out of the question for me it seems.....insurance really sucks when you are young....i think it is now close to $500/6 months for me right now, and i have a clean record (all my tickets were minor and don't count against me...hehe).

Lets talk about regular insurance.I live in south east Pa,the danger zone for insurance companys. Most of the biggest lawsuits have been won in Philly area.My 98 van and 93 bronco cost me $1980.00 a year.My wife and I have nothing on our driving records. No kids either. My blazer and suburban each cost $130.00 a year for agreed coverage.
