Leaf spring 5/7 drop
I have a 72 lwb with some de-arched rear leafs with a leaf removed and 2" shackles that the PO had put on. I want to use 5" CPP drop leaf sand the shackles with a porter built c-notch. Anyone see any reason why this won't work?

Re: Leaf spring 5/7 drop
Should work fine.
You could also use a flip kit on a stock set of leaf springs. Any time you go that low with a 67-72 rear leaf spring,... you always need to do something for the rear shock angles. Right now,... I know of no one that makes a shock relocator kit for the 67-72 trucks. Shorter shocks help,... but the angle is still too flat. The upper shock brackets are riveted to the frame. So moving them, should be as easy as grinding out the rivets and bolting them in at a different location.

Re: Leaf spring 5/7 drop
I would run stock leafs but a new set would cost me the same as the 5" drop leafs from cpp. Thinking of moving the shock location and and running a much shorter shock.
