Awesome. I've got a '69 I'm fixing up with my son. I'll help him buy his own when he gets closer to 16.

Re: New to forum...72 C10 dad-son project.
My son and I just finished building a '67 swb stepper for me, but things were kind of reversed since my son is the one that has all the experience building these trucks.
His knowledge and motivation kept the project moving forward. I learned a lot from him. I was the one that kept changing my mind on the color, but finally decided. Many things can be done before the final decision on the color is decided.

Re: New to forum...72 C10 dad-son project.
He is 46, exactly 20 years and 1 day younger than I am. He has been working on these old trucks for many years now.
I have lost count how many trucks he has built over the years, probably at least 10 I would guess. He does everything including painting. Here is a picture of the truck we just finished for me, the white one, and his truck.

Re: New to forum...72 C10 dad-son project.
Welcome... Good to see another "son and Father" build...
My son and I have been working on our truck for the last 5 years off and on. We have a lot of fun doing it. He started working on the truck when he was 8 and is now 13 and loves to work on anything in the garage Check out some of our post... maybe it will help your son decide on what direction he wants to go Below is a link to a thread we started with ALOT of pictures... well its more of a photo thread than anything, but they tell the story just fine http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=513605 Good luck with your project, cant wait to see where you go with it... and if you haven't already figured out... this site is the best thing since sliced bread!!!

Re: New to forum...72 C10 dad-son project.
AustinScott, ya your right about the sliced bread!! I have learned a lot in the last few weeks looking at this site.
My son is almost 16 and spends a lot of time with football and baseball, so the build will be slow going for a while....but it will be fun. Your project looks good!! Hope you are able to get it finished soon....but I guess they are never finished!! JJ
