Good man, Aero. Between all of us here there should be no trouble getting parts or anything else they need. Hopefully one of the participants will sign in and let us help.

I have parts and or can find what they're looking for. Several trucks are sitting in the local area at salvage yards are farmers fields. Will have to look closer for specific years but I think pars wil be better than cash any day!

After surviving cancer (moreso the surgery), this hits home.
Aero, If you hear they need parts, I'm happy to part with my leftovers and my leftover lsx parts if they are of any use.

Asked them to start a Build Thread so we could follow along. Offered a Library Edition 63 Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual I have. I knew you guys would be willing to help them out if they needed.

Aero, can you get a list from them so we can see who has what? I'd also be willing to purchase some for them through a vender on this forum as well.

I'm in too.
Yes a list would be good,a build thread even better so we can keep track of what they've gotten and what they still need...
The best part (other than the story itself) is getting the younger set involved in what may very well become their future, or at least a part of it.
The second best part,Having this shop teacher that's willing to go through all this with these kids to instill values of respect, rememberance, hard work and reward..something we don't see enough of today.

I too will be happy to help with anything I can. I'll donate PS/ PB brackets, or what ever they need that I have.

Very cool. From the pics provided, it looks as though no part will be untouched (or replaced) if they are shooting for a 100% restoration. With those enthusiastic high schoolers doing all the work and a whole nation of truck heads watching and willing to help with parts and know-how, no problem.

MODERATORS: If Zane's ride is unable to post because they need to be paid subscribers, I will pay their subscription. PM me please.

" Nation of Truck Heads "

From Wikipedia,

A nation may refer to a community of people who share a common language, culture, ethnicity, descent, or history.[1] In this definition, a nation has no physical borders.

Re: Article from local paper in Alaska on the internet.

Hi, guys! I'm on! Thank you for all your interest in the project. To date: Zane bought 2 1963 Chevy pickups in the year before he died; they ended up not being sufficient/safe to restore (although some of the mechanical they can use). Since then, one of my friends and her husband donated a '62 that has the exact bed style Zane wanted! We have one more that we (hopefully) will get delivered to the school this week. School starts again on 1-8, so I will have more info AND PHOTOS after that. Currently, they have been assessing what we have to see what we still need.

Zane'sMom, I am so sorry for your loss. I cant even imagine. I know its not much consolation, but I think what your doing is a great way to honor your son. Its so cool for you to be able to fulfill his dream.

If you can post parts and things needed here in a list form, it would make it easier for any of us to see whats we have that we can donate.

Its awesome that the funds from the auctioned truck will go to make a wish foundation. Keep us posted!
