upper control arm shaft
has anyone ever changed a upper control arm shaft? mine needs replacing, so i took it apart last night and it seemed to be fairly straight forward. i have heard that you have to be very careful when assembling the new shaft, that there is a certain way to screw the shaft into the end caps, or the end caps onto the shaft,
whatever. as far as i can tell, there is only one way this assembly can go together. tighten one end cap, screw in shaft, then tighten other end cap, am i not seeing something here? seems pretty easy, but then again, it wouldnt be the first time i screwed up something easy, any help here would be great, thanks |

I just did a pair of both upper and lower controll arm shafts for my panel. What I did was to place the shfts into the control arms and turn the nuts on each end an equil amount. Then screwed the big nuts into the threaded holes, periodicly checking to see that the shaft can turn. As long as the shaft can turn there shouldn't be any problems. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
