Hi.what is this fuse for?

my 69 GMC has 2 of them in the front corners of the truck...

what are they for?

Believe those are for the amp meter??

The ammeter sense loop is fused at each end were it ties into the harness. One on the right side at the battery junction block and the other at the alternator junction. The heavy harness wire running between the two junctions is the actual shunt for the ammeter.

since they tied to the original amp meter and the original alternator, which i no lnger use, can they be removed? ive gone the LSX side.
