Help Guys
Hey guys you're awesome with all the info you all provide so heres my dilemma. I have a 83 fullsize blazer 4x4 when the temps start dropping around here(PA)my truck pulls hard to the right for about the first 2 miles of driving, If I let off the gas it will straighten out for me. I have replaced PS pump and lines, brake calipers, tie rod ends, and all bushings. I really hope you guys can help it really scary that first few miles. Thanks everyone

may check the air pressure. air pressure drops when it gets cold and your right front maybe lower than the rest until it gets rolling and the air inside warms up. just a thought. i maybe way off here.

Jon might be correct.
...or... What lines did you replace? The pump lines, the lines going to the calipers, or both? I am thinking it can be in there somewhere. ..Jeff |

Laugh if ya want but when my 77 did that pulling to the side stuff, it about drove me crazy. Simple fix though. Back up in a straight line while pumping on the brakes. After a bit of readjusting the brakes like that the pulling to the side stopped. At least for me. Try it it can't hurt.

Could be the E-Brake too. Had this happen on a Honda I used to own. there was a split in the E-Brake cable housing under the car. On cold days, any moisture that got in there would freeze, causing the cable to bind up. It would loosen itself up after a couple of miles of driving.
Worth a look. An easy test would be to not use the E-Brake (if you don't have to worry about rolling down a hill ) and see if you have the problem the next day. Good luck,

It also could be a caliper that is sticking and not retracting properly. To test front and back, drive for a bit and when it seems to be starting to straighten out, get out and carefully feel the calipers and drums. The problem area will be much hotter than the rest.
