2.5" drop spindles

Make a long story short. I got a 71 chevy long bed truck. It came to me via grand fathers death. He had all the parts to do work on it and thats what i been doing. The 2.5 drop spindles i installed are from a place in hunting beach. I cant remember the name to save my life. I installed them, and now when i drive it sounds like im rubbing my tire on something. I slow down it stops. start driving and then it makes the noise again.

Its like a howling rubbing noise. any idea would help. Im just trying to finish his project i will post pics asap when i get a camera

i did fail to mention that i still have the stock 8 lug wheels on there as well

Might be the dust shield getting into the disc brake disc. Check for binding, and reach around there and pull back on the shields.

If you're still running the stock 15" wheels, I would most definitely think it would be the rims rubbing on the lower A arms like lolife said. A quick trimming of the lower A arms will remidy that. Take a glance at the back of your rim and you should be able to tell if it's been rubbing. Good luck with your new project brother!

Were stock 8-lug wheels 15"?

So i got under the truck today, and looked at where the wheel sits to the lower a arm, and its fine, no contacting there, then looked at the steering arm its fine. then looked up top to make sure i wasnt rubbing again at the inner fender , good there so im thinking its the wheel bearing. but why would it make a sounds like a tire? Im curious at that? any insight

Was an alignment done after the spindle swap?

Might be the toe settings causing drag. That would be more noticeable @ speed vs a creep.
