Dash delete plugs, original???
Twice now I have found plastic lighter delete plugs in the 60-66 style trucks that have a bullseye design and the name CAPLUGS on back (see first pic)
Any chance these are original equipment? Appear to be aftermarket but thought I'd ask since I found them more than once. Secondly, I found these metal plugs in a 62 GMC. (second pic) Not sure what holes they were filling but was over near the glove box door. Could these be original? If so, what's their purpose. Thanks,

Re: Dash delete plugs, original???
The metal plugs are GMC factory and correct. I have them in my cab and I have 2 painted the interior silver color and 2 spare unpainted (IF anyone needs one or two) - cost you a cigar!. As for the two holes next to the glove box that's where I put mine as well. Dont know what the factory punched them in that location for. OF you notice next to ingition hole are two small holes as well. I've seen other truck have these and can get a good read on why as well. I plugged them with 1/8" plugs found at lowes in stainless stainless steel.
If I have given it more though I would have closed them up, but I went back with OEM 100% and did not want to remove the plugs.
