Fuel Gauge/Sender
When I went out and fired my '72 up yesterday, The fuel gauge went a stuck straight to the right (past full). Is this a bad sender?

Re: Fuel Gauge/Sender
Could just be the wire.
Make sure it's plugged in at the fuse box, and connected on the sender tab. Sometimes the wire can break or short out as it runs under the sill plate. |

Re: Fuel Gauge/Sender
I would bet that's it. I had the floor mat pulled up and was routing the wires better (so I thought).

Re: Fuel Gauge/Sender
Run a wire from the fuse panel fuel terminal to a good ground with the key on and the gauge should go back to empty. If it does then the sender wire is broken as you think.
