Re: Rear gas tank conversion
Here is the gas tank we built. Just ordered a few weld in gas inlets and a borrowed a sheet metal bender and built our own gas tank. It cost about $75 and some labor. It works great, if need be I will get you some better finished pics.

Re: Rear gas tank conversion
Several of us are using a 69 camaro tank--with a flip up/down filler behind the license plate. Its 19 gal. and works well.

Re: Rear gas tank conversion
I'm using this in my truck. http://vaporworx.com/ Bought the tack through Matt's Classic Bowties when they had sales going. A little pricey though, but IMO well worth the price.

Re: Rear gas tank conversion
The '87-'90 Jeep Wrangler tanks are used by a few guys with LS swaps. The tank fits perfectly between the frame rails similar to the blazer tanks but doesn't hang down nearly as low. The only drawback is that it's only a 15 gallon tank. I believe the tanks were all from 2.5L fuel injected 4-cylinder wranglers.
FYI, the LS swap folks like this tank because it is a baffled tank which is supposed to be better than a regular tank in terms of fuel starvation.

Re: Rear gas tank conversion
I gave in and got myself the blazer tank, AFTER some research and FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE........ my bud has a 72 nova and took it out, got some gas only to find that my idea of having a hidden filler BEHIND THE LICENSE PLATE, was something i didnt want anymore....it filled up and splashed everywhere..... not sure if it was HIS BUILD and or THE GAS PUMP having tons of pressure but ehh if i have to bend down to fill....im okay... i found a blazer filler and made my own from the idea....
