60-62 front swaybar anyone??
I see a lot of threads on sway bars for the 60-66 trucks but I havent found the answer I need. I have seen that LMC offers perfomance bars for 60-66, Early Classic Enterprise, CPP and other vendors have them for the 63-66 and also have seen the diff salvage yard finds. I have read the awsome write ups on this discussion from TX firefighter, Woogeroo and other members but does anyone have them on a 60-62 front torsion bar suspension?? My truck has CPP dropped 3"/4" suspension with a p/s upgrade. Does any body have any imput or some pics on their 60-62 trucks. Thank you guys in advance...

Re: 60-62 front swaybar anyone??
I have one in the works. I have the second prototype from my supplier, and am waiting for the hardware package from them.
I'm planning on having them available in the summer. -Brad

Re: 60-62 front swaybar anyone??
Sure do!
I'll be happy to send you some. They'll come in a big box with a fairly large piece of steel bar, some nuts, bolts, bushings...

Re: 60-62 front swaybar anyone??
Many years ago I took a somewhat different approach. I happened to have a Mustang II front sway bar left over from a project I lost during a divorce. It came from RB’s Obsolete, and was the same as a stock bar, except the dip in the middle was eliminated for a street rod installation.
Although I probably could have done something more professional looking, the control arm brackets were simple U-bolt shackle plates from a tractor supply house bolted to the lower flange of the arms. In spite of how the arrangement may have looked, it worked perfectly for many years and made a big improvement in handling. These are the only photos I have, taken during the removal of the stock suspension. ![]() ![]() The forward pivot bushings did not require frame brackets because the links at the control arms aligned the bar properly at normal ride height.. ![]()
