san diego fire takes cheyenne

this really hurts, I saw a pic of this truck when he was selling it, it was amazing, very beautiful C20 Cheyenne. This guy lives here in San Diego, I bought my truck from him a few years ago. He and his family are fine, the fire didn't reach his house but it did get his garage thats about 100 feet away. poor thing.

That is terrible! I'm not so sure it could be saved. Looks like it warped pretty bad.

I'd like to shake the hand of the man who can bring that from the grave. People say sandblasting can warp sheetmetal. I can just imagine how bad this is.

I LIVED IN MICHIGAN FOR 35 YEARS, & I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I'VE SAID "I'M SURE GLAD I DON'T LIVE IN THE RUST BELT ANYMORE" DON'T WORRY...... IF HE LIVED BACK THERE, THAT TRUCK WOULD'VE RUSTED AWAY 25 YEARS AGO. SO AT LEAST IT LASTED AN EXTRA 25 YEARS OR MORE.

Lol John.....good point

I live in Missouri so the rust isn't quite as bad as up in Michigan....my family is from MI...my dad had a really cool '78 GMC K10 short step that rotted away from 8 years of MI road salt....too bad because i might have ended up driving that truck...oh well

As long as everyone is ok! I'd rather see the house burn than the garage and the truck. They still make lumber.

It does appear to have been stripped, doesn't it? But it's still kinda dumb why not save the whole truck instead? Lots of insurance??????

Leinie- You have obviously never had a house burn down dude! You loose EVERYTHING!! My house burnt down when I was a senior in highschool. My 2 brothers and 2 sisters and I had to go shopping to even have underwear to wear the next day! Every picture, every memory, was burned! It was the house we grew up in and was a GREAT loss to our whole family. I would lose a truck like that in a heartbeat over the loss of baby pictures and sentimental items. Glad their family and home is fine- sorry about the nice truck! Maybe the insurance will cover another to rebuild. God Bless!
Also you wouldn't believe how hot a fire actually gets. What power! I would say that all of the stuff that you think "was stripped" off the truck actually burnt up. Fire's like that are hotter than you would ever think!

Was a nice truck

We could only save what we could. It's a bummer to see such a nice truck go away. I dont think the truck was stripped and then torched. Thats just plain CRAZY. But I am sorry for there loss.
