71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
I have a cab that came off a 71 Longhorn truck I recently bought. It is nice nice shape except is needs the outer, lower, rear cab corners replaced. The roof is nice the floor is nice (little surface rust on the drivers floor at kick panel. Rockers are nice. This is a great cab for your next project. What is in the pictures is what you get. We are asking $400 or best. Cab is located in Julian, CA. but if it is paid for could possibly be moved to Escondido, CA for gas money.

Re: 71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
how much do you think it weighs? Would you be able to strap it to a pallet?
Going to check on shipping.... Also could I get a peek at the area around the windshield and vents (floor/kick panel) thanks, Brian |

Re: 71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
well normally Jeremiah manuevers these around the yard by him self so I would say 500lbs or so. Just my guess. It can be put on a pallet and freighted I am sure. Let me know if you need measurements also. Since it is bare and I can get all the way around it with no obstructions. I will get the other pics today. thanks Jenn

Re: 71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
I talked with Jeremiah and he said that we can have the cab palleted and at a business address in Escondido, Ca 92025 with a forklift. So it will be ALOT cheaper than from my residence. Hope that helps. Also we will be removing the windows this weekend so I can get better pics of around the windows and dash areas. Jenn

I don't think if you had the cab freighted that the glass would make it. Do you? hhahahahhahah I was gonna remove the glass so there are no suprises. I don't care about the AC stuff, I have TONS!

Re: 71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
I just figure you would want to lessen the weight as much as possible also. Since freight is based on weight as well as size. Jenn

The weight of the glass will raise the shipping cost more than the glass is worth.

Re: 71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
hahahhahah, I just thought it would get broken with it being bare cab and transport and all. Thanks Cheyenne Shortstep for the info. Maybe the glass is a deal breaker. We will see.

Re: 71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
Well I'm kinda new to these trucks. Sorry my noobness is showing...lol
Well as for glass my mechanic friend said I needed exact glass to go in it. That my 69 front and back glass won't work with this cab. And other reasoning Behind the glass staying was....I had a guy from safelight auto glass tell me it would be a costly job to replace the broken front glass on my 69. Said trim would run me over 200 and that didn't include the glass. So just how costly is it to replace the glass locally? How much weight does it really add? On the 69 I don't have chrome trim around glass. Also any suggestions on who to call for a quote? |

Re: 71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
all front glass 67 to 72 will fit with each other. all rear glass from 68 to 72 will fit with each other. As for the trim it was the same from 67 to 70 and 71 72 is alittle difernt.
this trim is not over 200$ I have a 55 gal drum full of it I get 30$ to 50$ witch is I think going rate. glass from safelite here is cheep I think I had one done for around 150$$ my gasket and trim. as for shipping just call trucking or uship.com. I can leave glass in this no problem. and I can throw what ever else you need in the cab and pallet wrap it. let my know if you are intrested Thanks Jeremiah King www.kingstrucks.com

Re: 71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
Ok, I called a couple freight companies..
I need to know the size of the pallet and how tall it is. and what i think it weighs with the pallet. So they can figure out a cubic ft density number thingie. So say we left the glass what do you think it would weigh? and if we took the glass out? do you happen to have a tailgate? Or doors? lol Well please get back to me so I can figure this out so I can let you know... thanks, Brian |

Re: 71 AC High Hump Cab Nice but needs alittle work $400
Hey Brian, Ok, so you need to know how big the ENTIRE cab & PALLET are gonna be TOGETHER? right? And weight for BOTH? I just want to make sure I give you the right info. Also no tailgate but I have a nice set of 71 doors. Previous owner cut out for speakers, but where the door panels are. So all you need to do is swap panels. $150 on the pair of doors. Let me see if Jeremiah will do a combo deal with the cab to make it cheaper for you. I will keep you posted. If you have questions you can give us a call. I can walk you through it. I will PM my number. Jenn
