wish i had my camera or phone today
Saw a 71 or 72 C30 dually today...cool thing about it was it was a moving van. Manual, radio delete, it was awesome, and odometer showed 65,000

Oh, I will get pics of it....actually I want to own it haha...the frame is so long, and it was cool to see the wheels paints blue match the cab. The box is blue and white

All the ones I remember and see now from that era are Fords. Doesn't mean there weren't any GM's though. The ones that are still around all seem to still be orange too.

Tim, it was National as you have mentioned. The whole name was actually National Car Rental, even though they also rented trucks. A friend of mine was hauling lumber at the time and his regular truck was in the shop. They gave him a '70 GMC 9500 with a 6-71 and a 10-Speed RR trans to use and I thought it was strange to see this big GMC Diesel with the name "Car Rental" on the door.
I actually got to drive that one and it was one nice truck. It was nice to get behind a diesel in one as my 9500 had a 637 V-8 gas (unique maybe, but I much preferred the diesel). Bill
