Changing gears in rearend-what else
I need to change my rearend gears to 3:73 since I changed to a 700R4. What else should be done while the shop has it open?

Outer wheel bearings and seals... since the axles will be out of it.

If it's a posi,there is a special additive to keep it working.

you already have the great setup....Its what Im running in mine......definitely change the wheel bearings and seals like said by GASoline71.......If you are doing a gear change make sure to go with a good posi......I went with a Eaton. Use the additive and Royal Purple Gear Oil.
