this would be your best bet.I did this with my Burb,my lights stayed brighter,it was a good conversion.

in all my years i have never heard of that magnetism trick. i wouldn't go by that.
sounds like you have a broken wire from the regulator to the alt, the alt is not being told to charge. or you have a defective part. when i bought a engine for my truck i took the alternator and starter to a local starter rebuild shop, he asked me if I'd like it upgraded to a 1 wire, i said sure, either them work or they dont, everything including the regulator internal. it was the same price too. I'll have to look to see what i did with the unused wires. I think i zip tied them to the wires on the regulator, the hot post is in the same place, just the regulator wires are not needed any longer. |
