new from arkansas!

Hey all! I'm New to the site. My name is Jareb and I just turned 20. I just bought a 'yo shortbed stepside c10 with the original 307 and automatic. It's a factory A/C, PS, and PB truck. It's a project but I grew up around muscle cars (my dad always had a old nova of some kind) and I grew up helping build the motors and do the body work so this is going to be my project. My wmfirst vehicle was/is a 1978 Toyota wolverine 4x4 pickup.
Here are some pics of the truck

Nice find Jareb, The sheet metal doesn't look to bad in these pics. Do you need to do the floors in it?

Re: new from arkansas!

It has VERY little rust in the floor pans and the rockers have a strip of rust about a inch by 1/2 an inch. And the driver front fender it bent up alittle.

Re: new from arkansas!

Thanks. I'm still deciding on the direction i want to go on it. I know i'll be using the hotchkis tvs kit and swapping it to a 4speed manual.

look for a 5spd from an 80s camaro v8 or an s10 will work but you'll need to put heavier duty internals. gives you a better cruiser and better gearing.
