yep optima yellow top,,,,, the clean up was half a bottle of simple green and 4 quarters at the quarter car wash, took bout 7 minutes total n no i didnt cover the dist. either. lol

Took my truck to the car wash today too...
11 dollars later it is finally starting to look a little bit nicer :P I've still got plenty of dirt in the engine compartment too... I didn't cover my distro either, I was hoping it would start...

just cover your dist with a bag of some sort and spray anything u want clean with simple green, give it a minute then spray it down again then use the engine/tire cleaner setting hose everything down, give it a minute or 2 (or was the rest of your truck), then while still on the wash selection use the low pressure to go over everything dont use the high pressure unless its just a spot, then rinse everything on using low pressure and it should be considerably cleaner..... u could always buy some engine degreaser and spray some all over the engine and then drive down to the car wash if it isnt far the repeat the steps above lol

Im in the process of not only cleaning but removing all the that isnt needed any more (computer crap). Looks good by the way.
