Door Panel Question

I have a 72 but it has 71 door panels on it(previous owner). The doors have nutserts in them. Can I install 72 panels on it or do you think the doors where changed to 67-71 at some point. I'm completing a restoration on it so I want it to be fairly correct. Thanks

Re: Door Panel Question

It's hard to tell without pictures but it should be fairly easy to switch door panels. Are you sure the doors are 72 correct? If they have the screw below the vent windows then I would say it would be easy to switch back to 72 door panels since the holes should already be there.
Also, WELCOME TO THE BOARD FROM NC!!!!

Re: Door Panel Question

you will have to change the window regs and door latch stems they are longer for the 72 plastic door panels

Re: Door Panel Question

They don't have the screw below the wing window so I guess they are not 72 doors. When I get to my regular computer I will post a pic.

Re: Door Panel Question

The vin and the title says it's a 72. Someone changed the doors apparently. Thanks for the replies.
