Throttle cable question - 72 C20 402 cu.in.

Will the factory throttle cable and carb bracket still function correctly with an Edelbrock Performer PN7164 aluminum intake installed? I noticed the carb will be sitting quite a bit higher on the Performer compared to the OEM cast iron intake.

Pics would be ideal.

Thanks Ol Blue...it's the "should" part that has me concerned.

I do not want to make the swap and find out that it does not reach or is binding. My worse fear is to take it back off after it is in the truck. Not a fan of just rigging something either.

Hopefully someone on the board has one of these installed on their big block.

I have a BB in the stock location. I am running a Holley on an Edelbrock Air Gap manifold. The stock cable had to be shortened about 2 inches. I'm using the stock bracket, but I had to grind on it a little. I don't think anyone could tell any modifications were made to this setup in order to get it to fit.
