Çan some one tell me where to buy the proper antenna. I have bought three different ones but they all have to much angle. And I believe this is the proper original spot on my 67. And cant find the one I took off.

mine has a lot of angle as well. Going to be taking the aftermarket back off and go with a window mounted setup and plug the antenna hole on the outside.

I recently replaced mine, and found the best deal with shipping was from Manes. It turned out nice http://www.manestruckparts.com/store...Category_ID=20

OP, I think you're in a tough spot, where the hole wasn't drilled right

Re: can not find the proper antenna

Dad bought this truck new and it had the same cowl and antenna until I took it apart to paint but the mast was broke so I guess I through the antenna away. So I know the hole has never been changed. I did order one from manes truck parts but it has the wrong angle on the base. I guess I will just keep searching thanks people.

Good Info Mister-B. I will order one soon for my truck as I am getting ready to get the original radio installed and just like you, I will enjoy tuning static, sports and other such AM stations. I just think it is cool that it works. For me it brings back a lot of memories from my past with my dad. I happen to think that Johnny Cash on a distant AM station sounds way better than Brittney Spears in stereo.
