2002 Silverado brake problems
Anyone here have issues with the brakes dragging. I replaced all 4 calipers and pads, pulled the front wheel sensors and cleaned them and put never seize on them and went for a drive and all 4 rotors were hot. I hate just changing parts but I think the ABS module is too blame as it activates coming to a complete stop and I can feel them pulsing when driving. I am going to pull the ABS fuse today and see if that helps but what are the chances it is the master and not the abs module.

Re: 2002 Silverado brake problems
Have you tried replace in the hoses? When i change caplier i also install new hoses. It could be anything from the master cylinder sticking to a bad abs pump or blockage in ghe lines

Re: 2002 Silverado brake problems
I guess I am going to drive with no ABS fuse for awhile. I replaced the ABS module yesterday and the brakes dragged as soon as I left the shop. I pulled the fuse and they were fine. All lines were bled and am ruling out a hose or master problem because it only happens when the ABS fuse is in. I may have gotten a bad ABS module but who's to know, I guess I drove for 20 years without ABS and am to frustrated to deal with it anymore now. I will change my front hub assembly's with Timken units later this year but until then I will deal with the ABS light on. To make matters worse I picked my truck up and never noticed the broken passenger mirror, someone must have bumped it, another 100.00 bill to the repair.

Re: 2002 Silverado brake problems
