Generations
I'm hoping someone can help me identify what the years are for 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation S10 pickups and Blazers.

1st gen 82-93 2nd gen 94-04 Blazers 1st gen 83-94 2nd gen 94-04 There wasn't a third gen, the s10 was replaced by the Colorado and the blazer was replaced by the Trailblazer. Posted via Mobile Device |

95 S Trucker is correct.
Also, 94-97 and 98+ have some differences (in both appearance and OBD 1/2) but were not seperate generations.

They did do a face lift midway in both body styles.82-86 was one way 87 got the face lift new dash and new grill tell 93,And again in the next body style 94-97 and the face lift in 98 changed the grill and interior.

If you really want to split hairs, the 98+ 2wd blazers had totally different spindles & bearings and brakes in the front.
All of this is really just subtle styling and natural evolution though, like was said before there's just 2 generations of S-series. 82-93, 94-04 pickups and 83-94, 95-04 Blazers. |
