Help on correct rim offset

I am planning to put on a set of 17x8 rims and I am concerned about the the offset. The rims I am looking at are 4 1/2" offset. I will have drums in the rear. Also what does "Hub Centric" mean.

Offset or backspacing is the measurement from the backside of the mounting flange to the edge of the wheel....with that wheel you'll have 3 1/2 inches showing, should fit fine...

hub centric means that the wheel is centered on the the center hub of the spindle/axle. lug centric means that the lugnuts center the wheel.
